Also known as hybrid brows, are a combination of two popular eyebrow enhancement techniques: microblading or nano plus shading/powder. This technique combines the natural-looking hair strokes created through microblading or nano with the soft, powdered effect achieved with shading/powder.
Combo brows are suitable for those who desire a more filled-in and defined look, while still maintaining a natural appearance. The microblading or nano technique is used to create realistic hair strokes in areas where the brows are sparse, while shading/powder is applied to add depth and dimension to the overall shape. The combination of these two techniques creates a stunning and long-lasting brow enhancement.
The length of time for an initial combo brow treatment can vary. A Combo brow treatment which combines Microblading and/or Nano hair strokes plus shading can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours to complete. This includes the initial consultation, mapping out the desired shape, numbing the area, performing the procedure, and final touch-ups.

typically takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete. During the procedure, the artist will start by numbing the brow area with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Then, they will carefully design and shape the brows according to the client’s preferences and facial features. For combo brows, microblading strokes are typically added to create hair-like texture in the front of the brows, while shading or ombre techniques are used to fill in and define the rest of the brow.
The technique used by the artist can also influence the level of discomfort. Some artists may use a gentler approach or adjust the pressure applied during the shading process to minimize pain. Shading brow procedures typically take longer than microblading due to the larger area being filled in with pigment. The longer duration may lead to increased discomfort for some individuals.
After permanent makeup (PMU) has fully healed, which typically takes around 4 to 6 weeks, it’s generally safe to resume waxing and tweezing in the brow area
