Touch Up Shading

An “Ombre Touch-Up” for eyebrows involves refreshing or adjusting the ombre effect created during the initial ombre brows procedure. Ombre brows, as you described, feature a soft, gradient effect from lighter to darker pigment, resembling the look of ombre hair coloring. Over time, the pigments in the eyebrows may fade or change, and an ombre touch-up is performed to maintain or enhance the desired gradient

The whole procedure should only take around 20 minutes at our Suffolk clinic. You’ll know what to expect before the Botox is administered as you’ll have had a face-to-face consultation with us beforehand. We will have discussed your suitability, exactly how an anti-wrinkle procedure works, and what it involves.

Sometimes, clients may want to make adjustments to the shape, density, or color of their eyebrows after the initial procedure. Touch-up sessions provide an opportunity for the artist to address any areas that may need refinement or enhancement based on the client’s feedback and preferences.

Regular touch-up sessions are part of the maintenance required to keep Powder, Shading, or Ombre brows looking their best. Follow the recommendations of your artist and schedule touch-up appointments as needed to ensure the best results.

While rare, there is a risk of scarring associated with touch-up sessions for Powder, Shading, or Ombre brows, especially if the skin is not properly prepared or if the healing process is disrupted due to improper aftercare. Another reason why CAC waits until 8 weeks for skin to heal properly before any touch up.

FAQS ABOUT TOUCH UP SHADING

CAN I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE DONE WHILE I’M PREGNANT?

Although it is not a Law in Florida, it is generally not recommended to undergo permanent makeup procedures while pregnant. Safety Concerns: The safety of permanent makeup procedures during pregnancy has not been thoroughly studied, and there may be unknown risks to the developing fetus. To err on the side of caution, many healthcare professionals recommend avoiding elective procedures during pregnancy unless they are deemed medically necessary.

WHO IS NOT IDEAL FOR THIS PROCEDURE?

Medical Conditions: Certain medical conditions or medications may affect a person’s suitability for brow touch-ups. It’s important to disclose any relevant medical history and medications to the technician before undergoing the procedure to ensure safety and minimize risks.

HOW LONG DOES TOUCH UP SHADING TAKE?

A touch-up session typically takes around 1 to 2 hours to complete. During the touch-up session the artist will assess the healed results of the initial procedure and address any areas that may need adjustment or enhancement.

IS TOUCH UP SHADING PAINFUL?

Individuals have different pain thresholds, so what one person finds painful may be tolerable or even comfortable for another. We apply a topical numbing cream to the brow area before the procedure. This helps minimize discomfort during the process. The effectiveness of the numbing cream can vary, but it generally helps to reduce pain.
